He believed in my abilities


"When I first started training with Nick, I can honestly say that that was the first time I had ever stepped foot into a gym environment. He was able to put up with all my complaining, my “I cants”, and my strong negotiating skills (with a smile on his face) and turn me into the gym rat that I am today.

I truly felt like he believed in my abilities, and with that feeling of reassurance I gained, he was able to create such a comforting environment in a place that I felt very uncomfortable. I have known Nick for some time now (about 5 years!) and I can honestly say that Nick is one of the best personal trainers I have ever had the privilege to train with.His ability to create fun and interesting workouts is only seconded to his encouragement and true belief that everyone is capable of whatever they put their mind to.

Cardio is important, but strength training is just as important!


"Nick is an excellent trainer. He's knowledgeable, enthusiastic and supportive. I worked with him for 6 months. He helped me realize that my cardio routine was missing something... strength training! Yes, cardio is important, but strength training is just as important. I loved the challenging workouts that he put together because the kept me motivated. I was able to push past my boundaries and see that I was a lot stronger than I thought. Another key factor that helped in reaching my goals was the food. He put together a food plan that set the path for healthier eating habits. I'm very happy with what I was able to accomplish in the short time I trained with Nick.

He never let me slack


"I started with Nick April of 2010. I just didn't feel good, although I was only 20lbs. over weight, I had 30% body fat. I just didn't feel right in my clothes. I started working out with Nick and didn't really think about what I was eating. At the end of the month, I had lost about 2lbs. and had gone down about 2% in body fat. Nick said, 'Do you see what you could do if if you were careful about what you ate?' From that moment, I decided to work out, eat healthy, and count my calories.

By the next month, I had lost at least 3 more lbs. and another percent in body fat. I continued working out with Nick for a year and a half. I was able to reach 18% body fat.I had always been a little overweight throughout my life. I had also been working out in one way or another since the age of sixteen. I had even worked with a personal trainer before and didn't see a change in my body. Nick is the only trainer who got me to change my diet significantly and he is the only trainer that actually pushed me. He never let me slack and as a result I have been the thinnest/healthiest/strongest that I have ever been. The only reason that I do not workout with Nick anymore is because I moved to the Northbay. Nick is the best trainer."

Confident in how I look


Since working out with Nick I feel more confident in how I look. When I went to him I never thought that I was big, but seeing how many inches came off and saw my before and after pictures I must say he made me a believer. I look and feel better about myself he works with you and he does his best to get you were you want to be.

I'm a 37 year old single mom and I never thought I could find the time for myself to workout. It got to a point were I was not happy with my body and knew I had to do something about it. I tried working out by myself, but the motivation was not there. I knew I needed help and luckily I knew someone that recommended me to Nick. 3 years later and I'm in the best shape I've ever been in.I feel a lot stronger, happier and even when I feel I can't do it he proves to me I can.I go at least 3 days a week and do 2 hours [Resistance and Cardio]. He taught me how to eat properly balanced meals


"As I approached my 30's, I had become less active, never made time for exercise and ate very unhealthy. I now have  two children in my life which gave me even less time to make (or I thought so) healthy food, so I would grab whatever was convenient and quick on the way home from work. It showed as I had packed on the pounds over the last few years. I would try to exercise and 'diet' on my old habits.

I heard about Nick through some old friends a couple of years ago. I looked at his client's progression pics and could see he was the 'real deal.' I met with him and discussed my goals of losing weight, being fit and healthy. I joined his class and within 5 months I had lost forty pounds! He taught me how to eat properly balanced meals, and how to get the best results through my workout.Even though I had a setback with a back injury I obtained through 15 years of manual labor, I am still able to do the workouts. If something is too irritating to my injury, Nick will modify my routine to still target the necessary muscle groups with no risk of compounding my injury.Through Nick I found a love for exercise. I love seeing the results I get and look forward to meeting my goals and creating new ones!"
